The baby blackbirds almost fill the nest now, I
don't think it will be long before they venture out into the big wide world, or my back garden and beyond!
The nest is looking a bit crowded, isn't it? I once had baby finches in a nest housed in a hanging plant. It was a highly stressful situation for me. I was always so afraid I'd disturb them, or that they'd fall out. When the mother finally pushed them out of the next to fly I was very relieved. :)
Hello Nancy, yes it was very crowded, they have gone now. I know what you mean about being stressed, I used to check on them regularly throughout the day, or if I had been out it was the first thing I did on my return. I miss them now :-(

DeleteThey've really grown!
ReplyDeleteHello Gillian, they grew very quickly, I suspect they have to in order to be able to fend for themselves. Mother Nature is clever :-)
DeleteThat nest is beginning to look pretty crowded - it's such a kick seeing them before they go out into the world.

Hello Amalia, they have gone now, I wish I had been around to see them go. I have really enjoyed watching their progress. x
