Alicia Berenson lives a seemingly perfect life. Married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening her husband Gabriel returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face, and then never speaks another word.
Theo Faber, a criminal psychotherapist, has been obsessed with Alicia and her silence for years. Finally he manages to secure the position of Alicia's psychotherapist at the Grove, a secure forensic unit. His determination to get her to talk and unravel the mystery of why she shot her husband takes him down a twisting path into his own motivations—a search for the truth that threatens to consume him....
Very little is really the way it seems in this thriller, it had me on the edge of my seat from the first chapter. About halfway through I felt something wasn’t quite right, I just couldn’t figure out what.

With a huge twist the plot is brilliant.
