Our walk last week was much better than the previous one - most of the mud had dried out. Our evening walks have started, we meet at 4.30, walk for a couple of hours then back to the pub for a meal.
It was a nice walk through countryside passing allotments
pretty cottages and lots of eye wateringly opulent houses.
We think this was a mole, a very tiny mole. It seemed to be digging but wasn't getting anywhere. We hoped it wasn't a lost youngster. I didn't want to leave it out in the open and vulnerable, but there wasn't anything we could do.
Our walk finished back in the lovely village of Stock.

I bet you all worked up a good appetite for that pub meal!
ReplyDeleteIt's what keeps me going!
DeleteLooks like a lovely walk with pretty woodland flowers, hope you had a delicious meal in one of the pubs in Stock. Our favourite was The Bakers Arms, as Stock was just a few miles from Billericay and we often met friends there for lunch.
ReplyDeleteThat's where we went Chris. I was a little dissapointed though - fish n chips wasn't on the menu, but I did enjoy the ham, egg and chips instead!
DeleteThat bluebell wood is magnificent! That's quite a hike and a fun one, too!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good walk.
DeleteI rather like the idea of going out for a walk, seeing some wonderful images in nature and then finishing up with a meal in a pub. This all sounds like a grand plan, Polly.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy our walks.
DeleteI love walking through old graveyards and reading the stones.
