unfortunately the programme was not to my taste,
I stayed for most of it though.
The weather was lovely with glorious sunshine which changed to rain and hailstones in the afternoon!
Despite lots of rain signs of Spring are all around
∼ Be warm and well∼

I love that there are lunchtime concerts in churches in the UK. You don't see that a lot here -- at least not in smaller cities or towns.
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of churches hold them, it's a good way of raising revenue. They are free but most people give a donation.
DeleteWe used to take a sandwich and buy a coffee there, shame you didn't enjoy the programme.. The grounds look beautiful, we always sat in them when we popped to Chelmsford shopping.
ReplyDeleteBefore covid they did sandwices and cakes which were really good.
DeleteSometimes it's just nice to be out and about, listening to music even if it's not favouite composers.
ReplyDeleteIt is, and it was a lovely day until later.
DeleteSorry to hear you weren't a fan. Still a nice day to be out.
ReplyDeleteIt was Hena.
DeleteOur local library will have indoor lunchtime concerts starting in the spring. I've attended several and they have been enjoyable, but not every selection. If the church in this post is where the one you attended was held, Polly, it is a beautiful structure. The blooms were lovely
ReplyDeleteHello Beatrice. I think it's good that a lot of places are doing lunchtime conerts now. This one that I go to is now classified as a Cathedral. I'm not a believer any more but I like churches and cathedrals for their architectural appeal.
