Last week our WI meeting was at a glorious garden in a nearby hamlet. Most of my WI ladies have known our hosts for many years.
After a warm welcome from hosts T and L, T gave us a tour of their beautiful gardens. I had visited a few years ago when it was open to the public, but I never tire of visiting delightful gardens.
A well stocked Koi fish pond. At feeding time T taps his foot at the edge of the pond and the fish appear for their food!

Fruit and veg
Immaculately organised shed to the left, leading to T's mancave,
in the middle is a cabin where they hold their wine evenings!

Our lovely afternoon ended with tea and delicious cakes -
banana and chocolate and peanut flapjacks 😋

So lovely, yes! I especially liked seeing the Japanese garden.
ReplyDeleteThe wind chimes were lovely too.
DeleteMy idea of heaven, dear Polly, so beautiful. And tea as well! Good for you.

It was heavenly Amalia x
DeleteAn amazing garden. It must take hours of work to keep something as immaculate as that - I've never even succeeded in keeping myself tidy for more than a few minutes!
ReplyDeleteThey do it all themselves, everywhere is immaculate, I didn't see any weeds. Most of the shrubs are fully mature so don't need much maintenance.
DeleteWhat a lovely garden. But it must take quite a bit of maintenance. What fruit and veg do they grow?
ReplyDeleteIt does Nick, they said they feel guilty if they have a day off! Although most of the shrubs are mature and don't need much maintenance. They have apple and cherry trees, and others I think, and blueberries. potatoes, beans, beetroot, aparagus and salads.
DeleteWhat an immaculate and beautiful garden!
ReplyDeleteIt is, and not only do they not have any help, T helps out with other gardens in the hamlet!
