Eclectic Musings of a Woman of a Certain Age
Glad he is still keeping England dragon free.
Me too 😄
Are there any ‘celebrations’ held to mark the day. I left the UK in early 1970s and there weren’t any then
Nothing national that I know of, but I think a lot of people create their own.
Will you be flying the flag from a window?
I found a flag too late to fly it!
Can you send George this way. We appear to have a fire-breathing dragon on the doorstep?
I'll do my best!
It's a pity that we don't celebrate St George's Day, especially as it's Shakespeare's birthday, too . . . AND we have no national costume!
I know. I think St Patrick's day is a holiday now.
Happy St. George Day!
Thank you Jeanie
One of the most underrated holidays out there IMO. We always celebrate with a big dinner party, gifts, and dressing the pet iguana in his little fake wings.
We used to have a bit of a do with friends, but not so much lately.
