Botanic Gardens

I love parks and Brisbane City Botanic Gardens is up there on my favourites list.

After a walk from the ferry we stopped at the lovely tranquil
Gardens Club Cafe for coffee and little ring doughnuts.

The Ibis get everywhere.
They're quite pretty but such scavengers, everyone calls them 'bin chucks'.

All this loveliness in the heart of the city.
What a lovely place to relax for lunch if you work nearby

The beautiful iconic Kangaroo Bridge is at the edge of the park. We walked over and back again before catching the ferry home.

The lovely old Customs House building

  1. What wonderful images, Polly, and I will have to spend some time on the previous posts as I've fallen behind in blog reading this week. It's nice to see such nice weather too with the cilly temps and rain in NH.

    1. I'm behind with visiting blogs too Beatrice. Although we had rain while I was there the temps were still very nice around 28 deg

  2. What a beautiful place! I'd probably scream if I saw that huge lizard though!

    1. There are quite a few in the park, all sizes, but they prefer to keep to themselves.
