I hadn't heard that. Not only was he not English, he never evern came here. Legend has it that his reputation became popular with our kings and Edward I had banners made with the red cross on the white background.

DeleteIt seems there is talk from some people of getting rid of St George as he's not English! Lots of Welsh dragons in Wales!!
