shoots shooting
buds budding
catkins dangling
birds singing their little hearts out
and I've heard a few woodpeckers pecking
Spring can't be far away
In a few weeks time the floor of this wood will be a carpet of sweet scented bluebells.
"Carpet of sweet scented bluebells"....sounds amazing! It looks as if Spring is just around the corner in your beautiful part of the world. Here in my little corner of the world, Autumn is making it's way, ever so slowly, around the bend in our country road.
ReplyDeleteoh I do hope so Kim, I can't stand the cold damp weather our winters bring.
DeleteThere are signs of Spring all around, such a beautiful sight.
ReplyDeleteI've seen snowdrops and primroses in flower too :-)

ReplyDeleteoh yes, bring on the warmth :-)

DeleteI know, I KNOW Polly, I'm SO excited!!! The plum tree up the road a little is an early one and in full blossom - it looks so lovely. Spring really is in the air :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, I can feel (and share) your excitement. I'm almost starting to feel enthusiastic about coming out of hibernation!
Delete...spring has sprung, what a wonderful time of year.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is Tom. As I write this it's dark outside but the birds are still singing. Sorry for the delay in replying.
