Remembering

  1. I wonder why the Queen was wearing five poppies. And why Camilla and Meghan were wearing three poppies. Is one poppy considered a bit feeble?

But never mind the poppies. My concern is for all the the war veterans with physical and mental injuries who don't always get the help they desperately need.

    1. I don't know Nick, I think it's because a corsage does look very nice. I usually have two on the go, not at the same time but because I used to forget to remove it from one outfit to wear on another the next day!
Yes you're right, there are too many veterans who get overlooked. I don't understand why they don't get enough help.

  2. Hello Polly, I haven't been out today as I had some jobs to catch up with at home. I wore my poppy though, as I was doing the ironing, and while I was doing the gardening. The laying of the wreaths at the Cenotaph and the two-minute silence was very moving. I shall be watching 'They shall not grow old' on BBC 2 at 9.30: a Peter Jackson documentary, using remastered footage from WW1. Your poppy says it all: we must never forget.
