Weather or Season

Do you dress for the weather or the season?
In a week that has seen me wearing sun screen and sandals followed by
a coat and hat it's difficult to know what to have hanging in the wardrobe.

I have two seasons of clothes - autumn/winter and spring/summer. Spring/summer clothes are out now and the autumn/winter ones are packed away. Then the reverse happens about September time. However despite this ritual I dress for the weather because here in the UK in May we often experience heatwaves and frost in one week! And because I'm a bit of a wimp about a slight drop in temperature I'm never far from a cardi! So although my winter outfits are packed away they are still within reach!

I'm off to Spain for a week soon, I should be able to dress for the season over there!

  1. Isn't it a nightmare!! The weather is being very unpredictable at the moment. I started off this morning with coat, boots, jumper and now I am sitting here in a white cotton skirt and tee shirt! The heating was on last night, I wonder if it will stay off this evening? Have a great weekend whatever the weather xx

    1. Hello Chel, it's nice to hear from you. The weather is certainly keeping us on our toes. One minute the back door is open welcoming in the warmth, then I'm closing it and reaching for my cardigan. I've also changed to my summer duvet, so I hope we don't have a really cold spell or I will be reaching for a blanket!! Hope you have a good weekend too x

  2. That fickle month May is over. Hopefully June will be more reasonable.

    1. Hello Amalia, yes I hope June brings some lovely warm days. I have just returned from Majorca where the weather was glorious. It's not too bad back home, but still needs to warm up a few degrees for my liking! x

    1. That's interesting, I thought it was just our weather that was all over the place.
