Hi Michelle, a lady in my art group and one in my WI group both bring in windfalls from their gardens, so we do quite well! :-) The quinces are from my own garden.
Hi Nick, yes they are difficult. I was told that its easier to grate them and then cook them, but to be honest I don't think they have much flavour so I don't bother doing anything with them now.
Nothing like a bit of fall flavor :)

DeleteWe have a quince tree, but apparently quinces are fiendishly difficult to prepare for cooking, so we've never tried to cook them. Life is too short!
