Constance was ahead of the times, a remarkable woman in her own right.
This was a book club choice. I’m sure there are some very interesting books about her life but this isn’t one of them, this is an encyclopaedia of facts, so many facts, oh it was boring. I skipped a lot of it and eventually gave up.

ReplyDeleteSometimes a book can be well-researched but end up feeling like a list of facts rather than a story. Life’s too short to slog through something that doesn’t engage you!

DeletePolly, admittedly when I read the intro to this nook post, I considered adding this one to my future reads list, but your final comments had me reconsider, so thanks for the honest review. Reading should be enjoyable and if a book has you sloughing through it after a few chapters, then it’s definitely time to give up. There are far too many better reads available.
