Greetings from Oz
I'm back in the land down under
Where women glow and men plunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover.

Hands up if you sang that while reading it, I sang it as I typed it!! ha ha
Yes I'm back in my second home with my lovely youngest daughter.
The temp. when I landed was a sunny 26 deg.
We're drinking wine and cooking dinner,
well my daughter is doing both,
I'm just drinking!

Hello Polly,
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful time with your daughter.
Big hug
Giac
Thank you Giac x
DeleteI sort of was singing! Sounds like great fun for you both. I'll look forward to hearing more!
ReplyDeleteThere are some songs that are so well known that when you see the words you just sing them in your head!! :-)
DeleteSounds brilliant! Obviously, your post came through upside down here. I'm not sure it was 'plunder' - I have an idea it could have been 'chunder' - but maybe that was the pub version... More wine!!
ReplyDeleteHi Mike, yes you are correct, one of the verses does say chunder but the lyrics and video I looked up said plunder in the first verse, and I prefer plunder! I've found some very nice wine and a very drinkable gin and elderberry spritzer!!
DeleteEnjoy your time down under, Polly. I know what I'll be humming for the rest of the day.

Thank you Amalia. That's the problem with some songs, you only have to hum it once and there it is, in your head for the rest of the day! :-) x
